The Lima Gourmet Company Gastronomic Tour
This Lima Peru tour starts at a local roastery, where they hand-pick the coffee beans daily, for an organic Peruvian coffee. You will also tour the colonial streets of the bohemian district, Barranco, home to artists, musicians and the city’s top art galleries.
From here you’ll visit a traditional market in the San Isidro district to try exotic fruits and local products and learn the ancient myths and legends associated with them.
The third stop is one of the city’s top seafood restaurants (cebichería), Embarcadero 41 Fusión, on Avenida La Mar in the Miraflores district – a stop other tours in Lima won’t take you. You’ll discover the secrets to the perfect Cebiche and Pisco Sour as you prepare the dish and cocktail yourself with the head chef and bartender.
The last stop is for lunch at la Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant within a pre-Incan archeological complex – undoubtedly a highlight of tourism in Lima Peru. This prestigious restaurant is so impressive that the King of Spain, Mick Jagger, Bill and Hillary Clinton, just to name a few, have made sure not to miss it during their trips to Lima. You’ll enjoy a variety of gourmet Peruvian dishes as well as four different desserts and another pisco-based cocktail.
3th Day Fly Cusco & Free Afternoon (B)

Tambomachay – This was an Inca sanctuary dedicated to the cult of water, a place reserved for Inca Royalty.
Puca Pucara – This is an Inca archaeological site located again on the peak of a hill and is thought to be a military position and an administrative centre.
Qenko – A sanctuary dedicated to the adoration of animals, and consists of ruins formed by a rocky site with stairs in a zigzag, and a main building similar to a circular amphitheatre where 19 window sills are located as a way of seats.
Sacsayhuamán – Its construction took over seven decades and required the work of 20,000 men approximately, both for the foundations and hewn stone works, the transportation of materials, carving and stones setting. Many say it is as impressive as Machu Picchu itself!

Pisac Market
A famed hill town, Pisac is a great place to purchase top quality Andean knitwear at lower prices than visitors will find in major cities during their travels in Peru. Woven blankets, tapestries, and alpaca garments such as sweaters and mittens, colorful fabric and accessories are found in abundance at the Pisac market in addition to pottery, jewelry, and other handicrafts.
Pisac Inca Ruins
It’s not hard to succumb to the charms of sunny Pisac, a bustling colonial village at the base of a spectacular Inca fortress perched on a mountain spur. Its pull is universal and recent years have seen an influx of expats and new age followers in search of an Andean Shangri-la. Located just 33km northeast of Cuzco by a paved road, it’s the most convenient starting point to the Sacred Valley.
Ollantaytambo
After lunch, we proceed onto Ollantaytambo an attractive little town located at the western end of the Sacred Valley. The town is located at the foot of some spectacular Inca ruins which protected the strategic entrance to the lower Urubamba Valley. The temple area is at the top of steep terracing which helped to provide excellent defenses. Stone used for these buildings was brought from a quarry high up on the opposite side of the Urubamba River – an incredible feat involving the efforts of thousands of workers. The complex was still under construction at the time of the conquest and was never completed.
6th Day Transfer to the Inca Trail – Begin the Trek (Moderate) (B, L, D)

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is one of the most famous trekking routes in the World, built by the Incas 500 years ago. The Classic Inca Trail tour starts in the Sacred Valley and finishes in a cloud forest region going through a range of vegetation types in route. The Classic Inca Trail trek is a once in a lifetime experience.
Cusco – KM 82 – Wayllabamba (Easy) (B,L,D)
We will collect you from your Cusco hotel early in the morning around 6:30 (approx. 8:30 if your hotel is in the Sacred Valley) for the private transport to the Inca Trail entrance.
We will stop in Ollantaytambo for last minute Purchases, plus an Opportunity for breakfast if you wish (Breakfast is also provided in your Hotel prior to departure). We will continue to Pisqacucho (Also known as Kilometer 82) where the trail begins, arriving at approximately 10:30 to Kilometer 82. It is NECESSARY to show entrance tickets and original passports at the at the entrance checkpoint.
We then cross the Urubamba River and begin our trek through dry forest area. We’ll walk approximately 6 km to Llactapata, the first Archaeological Site on our journey, where we’ll rest and have lunch. After lunch, we continue on a gradual, 4 kilometer, uphill walk through farmland to our campsite – Wayllabamba.
Total walking distance for the day is 7.2 miles with a minimum altitude of 8,990 feet and reaching a maximum of 10,000 feet.
7th Day Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo (Challenging) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we begin the part of the trek which is considered `the most challenging day´ of the trail.
We wake up early to get a good start. The landscape will change from small villages and farmland to the sub- tropical forest where we’ll stop for lunch around Llulluchapampa. From here we start a steep ascent towards the highest point – Dead Woman’s Pass (4,220mts/13,779ft).
There is an amazing sense of Achievement upon reaching the top. We will continue downwards 600m / 1,980 feet over 3 km (1.8 miles) through humid forest until we reach our campsite – Pacaymayo in the early evening.
Total walking distance today is 11kms (7.2 miles) ranging from 10,000 to 13,780 f.a.s.l.
8th Day Pacaymayo - Wiñay Wayna (Long but moderate) (B, L, D)
After another early breakfast we will walk to the beautiful Inka site of Runkurakay which is the beginning of the original royal Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
From here we will start a steep ascent towards the second highest pass 3,950m/13,035 feet and continue on to Sayakmarka, one of the most beautiful Inka remains on this trail.
After lunch we continue through some very beautiful scenery, cloud forest where we can observe a large variety of orchids and humming birds. We will walk for another hour to Phuyupatamarca (City in the Clouds) and reach the third highest point on the trail (3,680m). There are also wonderful views of the Salkantay Mountain.
From here we have 3 hours of downhill into the forest and our last campsite. A short distance from this campsite the Inca site Wiñayhuayna (Forever Young) is located. Even if you are tired from walking, don’t miss out on visiting, what is considered, the most impressive Inca site on the trail.
Total walking distance today is 11.5 miles with altitudes ranging from 8,760 feet to 12,965 feet.
9th Day WiñayWayna – Arrive to Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco (B, L)

We will rise very early today in order to arrive at the Sun Gate 8,792ft.
Before sunrise, we begin a short hike to the Sun Gate where we have our first view of the mysterious and enigmatic Machu Picchu as the sun rises.
Sometime after enjoying the view, we will walk down the last part of the trail to the spot where you can take the classic photo of this ancient city.
Finally we visit Machu Picchu itself!!! A walking tour (2-3 hours) is given by our guide and then you are free to explore the Lost City on your own. If you still have enough energy, you can climb Huayna Picchu (2,720m/8,923ft). It Takes about 45 minutes to reach the top. (Requires a separate ticket which needs to be purchased in advance by us)
You then return to Cusco on board the Luxury Hiram Bingham Train. Congratulations!!!
